Please join us in supporting this wonderful, life-changing project, by attending our annual fund-raiser dinner. The event will feature authentic Nicaraguan cuisine and a film update of El Divino Niño School. Emcee Cynthia Glinka will be sure to get you dancing to the beat of the Bay Area Band, ‘Sound Byte!’

2009 “Celebration of Hope” Gala Dinner

October 17, 2009 was the date of this years’ “Celebration of Hope” dinner at St. Anne of the Sunset Church in San Francisco.

NBC News’ Tom Sinkovitz served as Master of Ceremonies for the event

Comedian Michael Pritchard entertained and encouraged the crowd

The Lisa Baney Jazz Ensemble entertained through cocktail hour and into dinner

Members of Terra Linda High School’s “Nicaragua Service Club” helped make the event a success.

The Na Lei Hulu I Ka Wekiu hula dance group performed to round out the dinner hour

Guests were then connected live with children and adults from Managua via ACN Video Phone technology.  The images were projected onto a large screen for everyone to see.
